Visite aux enfants malades du Chu de Cocody / Visiting sick children at Cocody Central Hospital (CHU)

Le 24 Décembre 2017, dans le cadre du volet social de nos activités et afin d’apporter un peu de réconfort aux enfants hospitalisés, les Riviera Golf Golden Eagles se sont rendus au Centre hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) de Cocody. Une cotisation interne a été effectuée par les membres de l’association afin d’acheter des cadeaux pour ces enfants hospitalisés en ces périodes de fin d’année et avec l’autorisation du staff médical du CHU, les membres de l’association ont effectué une distribution de cadeaux dans différents services de pédiatrie de l’hôpital. Le but était double, tout d’abord rendre un peu le sourire a ces enfants et leurs parents en ces périodes de fêtes de fin d’année, ensuite inviter tous les membres de l’association (Joueurs et non joueurs) a comprendre et se rendre compte que même si eux même sont dans des situations sociales parfois difficiles, il est toujours possible même si on ne possède pas grand chose, de faire preuve de compassion et de solidarité, et un geste aussi petit soit il , peut rendre le sourire et apporter de la joie, en particulier dans le cœur d’un enfant malade.

Sunday, December 24, 2017, as part of our team’s social activities, the Golden Eagles went to Cocody Central Hospital ( CHU of Cocody) to visit sick children and cheer them up a little bit. The end of the year is usually a period of time where children celebrate with joy, gifts and toys but these children being hospitalized can not take part in such festivities. For several months members of the team did contribute in buying some gifts for these children and december the 24th, with the permission of the CHU medical staff, the team went to the hospital to offer these gifts to kids from various departments of the Hospital. The main goal in doing so is to cheer these kids and their parents up and express our solidarity, and the second goal is making members of our team and association realize that though themselves might come from poor social backgrounds, it doesnt take much to give an helping hand, show love and compassion. Make them realize that even the smallest things can bring joy and a smile to a face, especially when it’s done with a good heart to children .
